    Transfer Case Problem

Alright so I bought my first 2013 2500 6.7L a few months back tested the 4x4 off the side of the Rd made sure it engage and what not but didn't drive far with it engaged

The truck was clean with two owners 126k on it.

Well here in Indiana we are getting our first snow storm so I think it will finally get to actually use the 4x4 shift on over into 4H seem going then I hear the clunk and grind.

I assumed I was not fully engaged attempted to put the transfer case into N and it won't go.

So I have 2H and 4H but not working correctly.

I did some searching but am new to this forum and Haven't learned on the in n outs of it yet.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Is yours an electric shift (knob), or manual (lever on floor)? Had similar issue with mine clunking and grinding (electric shift), although I never tried neutral. After inspection I found the front steering knuckle u-joints were bad. Took about 4hrs, and some effort, but not too bad a job. Lots of U-tube vids on the job. Hope this helps.
