    Eco diesel grenades...

So now I’m a new Cummins owner! I had a 2016 Ecodiesel limited, that I absolutely loved. The thing got 21 MPG in town with a GDE tune. Engine let go at 80K so I traded it in on a 2019 Laramie CC SB. So far loving the truck! Question, I was quite happy with the Green Diesel Engineering tune, what is good way to go with the new Cummins for emissions intact tuning?

My last new 3/4 truck was a Dmax and I deleted it, couldn’t have been happier. So that may be an option for the Cummins too.

Why did the Eco diesel give up at only 80k?

It threw a P0299 (turbo underboost) code and went into limp mode.

Prior to that it had what sounded like a rod knock, as well as very rough idle.

The dealership said it was common for the main bearing to let go on the Eco diesel at around that 75-80K range.
