My service manager “good wills” the radios for delamination as long as the vehicle still has a powertrain warranty.

You might call RAM customer care; don’t be demanding and rude; they might help you.

They know it’s a common issue on the 2018 radios.

I live in Tucson, and mine just started the delamination.

Hopefully they cover it (I just went over 75k miles).

Its an issue with the batch of radios in that period.

I had mine replaced a year ago, and I'm in central NC and good to go so far (It started delaminating after about two years of ownership, and my truck is garage kept and barely ever parked outside)

Talk to your dealer if it's out of warranty and see if they can assist as its a known issue and should have been a recall from how common it occurred.

It's a bad batch of radios.

I had a buddy who bought his truck a few months after I had the same issue at about 50k miles.

He took it to the dealer, and they honored the swap.

I would try your dealer; they should be well aware of the issue.

I experienced the same issue here in South Florida.

I had purchased an extended warranty on it, and the dealership replaced the radio.

As the bubble gets bigger, your radio will trip different options.

    At least mine did that.

Unfortunately, from my research, this is not a cheap fix.

The only option to try and save money is junkyards, but then you're relying on finding a MY18 radio with the correct VP4 mount and firmware.

I'd call around to local yards, and maybe you luck out there.

I'm pretty sure the Factory Part number is 68331631AH; however, if you source this part from an online wholesaler, make sure to check that the radio came out of a RAM so it has the correct mount.

As I understand it, there are several different "versions" of the same radio, and many other mounts for Chargers, 300s, or Cherokees don't work in the Ram.

The only place I know online that is "known" for handling these radio replacements/retrofits is infortainment.com, but as I said, it's not cheap.

$2200 for a "RAM Ready" UAQ.

Is there a TSB on the radio?

I live in MD, and mine has delaminated.

The radio goes haywire and starts flipping the screen like a rave.

Now I am getting other warnings, "check electric brakes" and "check ABS system" intermittently.

I have never seen a TSB on the radio.

One of my company trucks had the issue.

It is a 2018; my 2017 is fine.

We bought a new unit and installed it, and no problems since.

I've heard other FCA vehicles had similar issues for the 2018 models.

    I haven’t had issues with my 2016 3500.

In my 2019 Dodge Charger Scat Pack, I had to replace the unit for losing a couple of pre-set stations constantly and the clock always falling back 2 hours behind.

    I didn’t have a delaminated screen, though.

You either have to replace the entire unit or replace the screen.

    Dodge replaced mine under warranty.
