Once my 2017 reaches around 35K miles I will begin pulling a UOA about every other OCI.
By that time the Break-in wear metals should begin to slow down and receive some what of a accurate sample reading back.
Yes defiantly pay a bit extra for the TBN --> This will give you a general idea on how far to extend your OCI.

I’ve done a few with Blackstone. I did the first 3 changes to make sure it was wearing okay.
I haven’t done it since, but I don’t drive it much. I have a 16 with 36k on it. I’m considering doing one at 50k just to see the difference. I get the TBN too, and with AMSOIL, the results have been great.
