    TCC question

I apologize in advance if this was already asked.

I just started using the TCC PID on my MM3.

    I know that 2= locked, 4=partial, and 8= unlocked.

I’ve noticed that from 1st-3rd gear it’s says 8 but then when I accelerate from 4th-6th it shows lock with a 2 only showing 4 when it does the shift flare.

Has anyone else noticed this or might know if something is wrong.

I have DRD tunes and stock 68RFE and I don’t romp on it so this is during normal daily driving conditions without pulling anything.

    Re: TCC question

A lot of it depends on throttle.

But under pretty constant mid/heavy throttle accelerating through all the gears, you will get mostly 8 through 1st, 2nd and until the "middle/end" of 3rd - it will full lock up.

Then all 2 (full lock), and 4 (partial) during shifts from 4th - 6th.

If you are accelerating very slowly though, it will feel a bit different hanging on to 8 (fluid coupling) more into 4th sometimes and you will feel the full lock up more harsh in 4th.

Hope this helps. It is how mine behaves at least. Lots of numbers I know.

Everything you just said is exactly what is happening.

Thank you for the peace of mind!
