P2482 EGT Sensor Code Help

Hello,

I think this is my first post. I come from a Ford 7.3 history for the last 16 years. However I did drive a genuine Power Wagon in a wrecking yard 30 years ago!

I'm getting this code P2482 and even 2483. It has gone away for a day only to return.

Diagnostics says to check the wiring harness I kind of did but its mostly covered.

Hat that pinch point under the driver area. I secured a N.O.S. replacement from eBay for $20. Even bought a replacement fitting to weld onto the pipe.

Anyone have suggestions before I get crazy under my truck.

By new old stock I am talking about a Mopar EGT sensor to be clear.

I agree with putting OEM sensors on lot of the cheep China knock off's will throw codes pure junk.

If the code is there and the wiring is good, then the part is bad if it is a sensor. That is how the Ram system works.

Kinda sucks and is really old school tech because the system also powers other sensors from the same circuit, throwing codes for the wrong items.

So check the wiring and make sure that all items connected to that harness strand are good before tossing parts at it.
