Hey guys, looking to get a better understanding of the EGR and DPF systems on my 2010 6.7L cummins automatic.

  1. Are there any pro's/con's in disabling the EGR with the DPF intact? For example, more Regens or is it still the same?
  2. Are those systems isolated or are they somewhat dependent on each other?

It also seems that the throttle valve works in conjunction with the EGR valve, meaning the throttle valve closes somewhat to ensure exhaust is pulled in from the EGR valve when its open.

Any insight would be appreciated from those that have already learned a few lessons from the "poke and pray" process of elimination.
