Got my actuator yesterday from @Geno's Garage.
Started putting it on this afternoon.
It really is not a bad job, took my a little less than 2 hours.
It's' easy to take the grill off to get to the radiator drain screw.
1 thing to remember that the plug is a hex wrench and not a socket.
It looks like a socket will fit but use a hex wrench or hex socket works better for me.

Got an update?
Everything working properly, I heard turbo might be a lil more responsive.
What say you?

So far so good.
Just driving around local and seem great.
I will be pulling the boat to AZ next week and then I will see what difference it makes, a lot I hope.

Ok so I had major issues getting my actuator off the verify my turbo was moving.
The lower rear bolt was galled in the actuator and the ear on the turbo broke while trying to get it off. I heated PB blaster wouldn’t budge.
I drilled the head off eventually after destroying the Allen and driving other torx and Allen’s.
I drilled a hole in my shock tower to have a straight shot at it also.
Am I screwed now?

Have some feedback after your tow?
Mine should ship from Geno's this week I think.
Well, your old actuator is now useless. If you have a 2013+, the new unit comes with everything.
I had the same issue with mine, but I was able to drill the bolt and used some Kroil to break the corrosion.
If your truck is a 2012 or older, you will have to buy a different actuator.
If the turbo seal surface is all messed up, you will need a turbo too. If the surface is good and the vanes move freely, you should be good for just the actuator.

If it were not for bad luck I would have no luck at all.

Yeah I am thinking about saying screw it and do a 3rd Gen swap now.
All depends, tune and turbo probably cost same as a new VGT turbo. Plus, you can get the VGT turbo without the actuator and add your own. I have started to see those for sale around.
