I’ve been running the whistle tune since I purchased the MM3 for the last 50k miles on the same actuator with no problems at all.

I now have 75k on the truck.

Yes, the whistle tune works fine on the stock actuator, apparently it’s when you install the City Diesel actuator that this becomes an issue.

Question for you guys who have changed out your actuators.

Roughly how much coolant needs to be drained from the system?

I just ordered a City Diesel Actuator from Dude's Diesel Performance.

    Thank you Clayton.

The actuator on Geno's Garage website says it doesn't fix the p266c code. I guess this isn't my fix since thats what I'm getting. So what does this code mean then? I looked it up but that doesn't explain what it is, causes or fixes.

P226C is most likely a sticking actuator but could just be a bad VGT as well. How does your exhaust brake perform?

Re: City Diesel Actuator for 2013+ Cummins 6.7L

Here is the backstory I posted on another thread.

2017, mm3 full delete. For the last month or so I've noticed at a steady cruising speed like 35 mph, a weird change in tone. Now its doing it all the time and throwing codes p266c and p0652. Exhaust brake working intermittently. Sometimes full, sometimes it kind of sputters. Looking at the actuator % on the mm3 display, there are times it seems like its kinda of working normal and times it goes all the way open, or kind of jumps all over the place.
Also, right before this started happening, the truck wasn't started for about a week to 10 days. When I started it up, it was a little tougher to start probably from siting and the batteries losing voltage, but it did start up. Im wondering if something possibly needs to be reset with the electronics? Is that possible? Or maybe I just need to check the actuator and turbo like others. Obviously it would be nice if I could just do the actuator. This is the only post I've found getting the same codes as me. Also truck has 111,000, 11,000 since deleted

If it were mine, I'd load test the batteries individually and check the actuator.

Thanks for the advise, sounds like a good place to start. Seems a little weird because the truck still had enough juice to start, they were never dead. Just seems that could have something to do with it though since it was all of the sudden after not starting it for awhile.

These trucks do weird things on weak batteries.

Though it most likely won't fix your actuator code, it may solve the other one.
