    4” or 5” Flo-Pro with muffler

Hello all. Yesterday I ordered the works from DRD. Now I’m torn between a 4” or 5” flo pro with muffler. I have 2014 and tow often. I don’t like real loud. I want to be able to drive the truck and not get annoyed by the sound. I’m completely stock until the DRD tuner gets here. With your guys experience what do you think I should go with and is there that much of a difference in sound between the two? I do like the look of the 5” way better but I want to keep the noise down. To me, keeping the noise tolerable is more important than looks. Let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks

Go with the 4"down pipe back with muffler you will be happy no more noise in cab than you have now but a lot less restrictive. 5" turbo back has a lot more drone. put 6"tip on and you will not tell difference if you want looks.

    Exactly what I did.

Easy install and no much louder than stock.

I recommend 4” system with tip of your choice and resonator.

Some guys run muffler and still complain of drone- the design of a resonator will ensure there is none.

The FLO~PRO kits fit great so get them while you can (we are not selling race exhaust at this time.) I have FLO~PRO on my truck.

The resonator is a separate purchase and replaces the front race pipe for those kits.

I can get a hold of resonator or tip if you’re interested - enjoy!

    Thanks all.

I ordered both just in case.

    I’m going with the 4”.

    Mike,
I might take you up on that resonator.

How do I look that up?

5" straight pipe drone is unbearable when towing. So I added a muffler, still too much drone. Now I am running a muffler and an 18" twister resonator. Its much better now. Be sure to put the resonator up as close to the down pipe as you can get it if you go this route.

My truck already had 5" when I bought it or I would have just gotten 4" There is no performance difference in the two until you are waaaay up there in the HP numbers.

AJ sounds good. I’m doing the 4” with muffler for sure. With no fancy tip either. 5” looks good but I kinda like the sleeper look of 4” by itself.
