So far I’ve got about 150 miles on it and not a single issue.

Still working great, I've got about 300 miles or so on it now.

I've also notice a slight fuel mileage improvement (.5 mpg) and I don't think I have a lighter foot.

I do have some sort of a new rattle at idle, I'm sure its unrelated but I will need to poke around a bit and see if I can figure that out.

Hopefully the next project will be a clutch in the spring when it gets a little warmer and before I start towing our camper.

Well I'm a about three weeks in and I got the dreaded P226C code last night on the way home from my sons hockey practice.

I pulled over cleared the code and drove the rest of the way home then to work this morning.

It drives fine so far, I'm hoping it was just a fluke and it won't come back for some time.

I have been using the exhaust brake when I can but with DRW's and icy roads I'm not a fan.

Fingers crossed that it doesn't come back for a long long time because I am so over working on this truck.

Hopefully just a fluke. I find my exhaust brake use actually helps on icy roads but most of my winter driving is city stop and go traffic. Keeping my fingers crossed for you also.

When I use my EB on snow/ice/heavy rain, it kicks the back end of my truck around. Best practice is to leave it off on slick road conditions.

I have the G56 so the engagment is a little harsh and can somtimes casue the back end to break loose a little. This is my daily driver and my drive to work is a mix of back roads at 55-60 and as I get closer to work I see a little more stop and go city type driving. My son plays hockey in a town about 45 min North so I am currently seeing some 80+ mph expressway driving as well. I kept an eye on the MM3 display to check the actual position and desired position of the VGT at to my eye it looked to match well. I'll continue to update over the coming days/weeks.

    Thanks, interesting.

I see you both have manual transmissions.

Makes sense that you would get a harsher reaction from the exhaust brake.

Very gentle and gradual with the Aisin.

I didn’t even think about that.

I got it to the other day.

Happened when the brake and tune were trying to do different things.

Like stop because of a Moron and then try to pull away. Set the code. Cleared it and all has been good again.

Currently, my tune makes the EB act like the manuals because it sits to 100% where the factory setting was no more than like 93%.

You had the P226C code correct?
