    Used Fleece Cheetah

Looking at buying a used fleece cheetah for a decent deal.

Owner said he only had it on 4,000 miles before switched to second gen swap.

I’m not looking to swap I just want my VGT to work.

Question is, what would be concerning about buying a used Fleece Cheetah?

How much does he want for it?

As with any turbo, you need to check for shaft play. I dont care if it only had 400 miles on it.

Of course look for any signs of damage, excessive wear, or foreign object ingestion.

Cleanliness is key. Check the oil passages. He should have them plugged with something even if it's a clean shop rag to keep even the finest dirt particles from entering.

With the unit resting on the bench, place one hand on each side of the impeller and gently push back and forth while feeling for "run out" or "end play"

As RamIt stated - "As with any turbo, you need to check for shaft play. I dont care if it only had 400 miles on it.

Also should mention that the impeller should spin freely.

If you hear any scraping, even the faintest of scrapes, walk away.

Bent fins are also a good thing to look for, mostly on the compressor side.

Ended up getting a BD Screamer with AFE Cold Air intake.

    Both brand new.

Screamer is supposed to inch a little more hp va the cheetah.

    Every little bit counts!
