    2009 2500 6.7l random chime

I have a 2009 dodge 2500 megacab and was curious if anybody else has had an issue with a random chime. Sometimes it'll do it a little bit after I start it and sometimes it'll do it while driving. Just completely random.

Are you talking about a seatbelt chime or door open type chime?

I have an 05 5.9 3500, I have this random chime too.....but only after startup when the engine is warm. Always wondered what it was signaling.

I’ve never been given an answer I completely trust, but I have noticed that when it happens to me after starting up (when warm) my oil pressure also seems slow to rise.

I know correlation is not causation, but that’s what I’ve noticed. I’m installing an aftermarket oil pressure gauge soon.

I had this on my 06 5.9- eventually found a place it would consistently do it (slight grade 45mph to 55mph zone)

After diggin in the chime indicated a fuel delivery error. My #6 injector feed line had a SLIGHT leak- not enough to leave a puddle. I only figured this out by checking the injector lines and snugging then one by one.

    might be worth a shot

Ok, thanks! That would possibly make sense. One time I was towing probably between 10k to 12k pounds for about 3 hours and it did it more then than it ever has in one trip.
