Assuming you want to keep the factory emissions system intact, there are few options that will actually improve performance.

As @CMB stated, the factory airbox easily supplies air over 500 hp. Upgrading the intake to something like a S&B will get you more turbo noise but not much else.

Changing the rear section of exhaust is strictly for looks as all the restriction is in the emissions components.

To get more pedal feel, you can go with a throttle booster like Pedal Commander. These are popular due to being relatively inexpensive and easy to install & remove when making a trip to the dealership.

For more money you can get into true custom tuning that keeps the emissions intact. This gives real performance upgrade and can include transmission tuning if you have the 68RFE automatic. Emissions intact tuning needs to be added while the truck miles are still low as it does put extra strain on the factory emissions filters. It has also be reported to use a bit more DEF.

I hope this helps get you started.

    What year is your ride?

Some have tested the factory intake system and found it to support up to 600 some say 700 HP. It really depends on what your goals are.

Im sure if you can share a few more details you will get a better response.

The best thing you can do is make sure all of your filters are clean and kept that way.

I added the cabin air filter and fresh air kit with out affecting the warranty. Depending on the climate in which you live, I've seen a battery tender connection point placed in the fender well that's pretty slick.

    Cheers,

Go ahead and pull the foam out of the intake right in front of the turbo and throw it in the garbage.

Maybe they made some changes on the 2019’s? I went out today and took mine off , came apart totally different then all the YouTube videos I had watched ? Doesn’t look like the 19’s have the foam in them? Anyone else with a 19 try this??

I tried to take mine out the other day but there is no longer a easily removable clamp that would be eight above it. I think they did that to discourage people from easily removing it.

    2021 2500 68RFE..... I'll just keep the goodies a secret!!!
