Revmax 68RFE Valve Body & Stage 5 Torque Converter

    Hey guys n' gals.

    Wanting to do transmission upgrades.

I know I’ve seen Ray post about upgrading valve body and torque converter.

I guess my question is how will the stock clutch packs and input shaft hold up, or is it better to just buy the 700 series?

I’m wanting to do a second gen swap w/ a S400 turbo, in mid-to-late 2020, and bigger injectors once the stock ones go out.

I’m deleted and tuned from Ray.

    Any input would be great!

With the power you are apparently looking to make you are going to want the full built transmission.

The torque converter and valve body upgrade will help your transmission live at stock or near stock power levels.

If you are looking to make more power than the stock turbo and injectors can make with only tuning and you plan on actually putting that power to work I'd suggest going with the 700 right off the hop.

I personally think it's a more savvy investment to buy the 700 outright.

Upgrades on the stock trans are going to run you a couple thousand as is and then you'll need to rebuild anyways.

Warhorse 750 is a bit cheaper than Revmax too. Maybe something worth considering. They have made a lot of power with their built tranny but seem to piece them together with a few different companies parts opposed to Revmax.
