So, my hatred of my chrome bumpers issue was solved today... Somewhat.

I bought my truck two months ago. It's a used '15 that had been leveled with black/milled wheels. I've never been a chrome guy and thus couldn't wait until I could get rid of the stock grille, bumpers, small accessories. Welp... That operation was thrust into present day after an 11 car pile up today. I actually got stopped. Just the two cars behind me didn't. So... Black bumpers and grille time has arrived a lot sooner than later. Looking for ideas. Not a big fan of the huge, gaudy things I see floating around. A def don't like the price tags I'm seeing. What are some decent ideas?

Oh man Definitely not the way you want to start out. Glad it wasn't any worse.

The cheapest path would be to get factory style paintable bumpers.

If you are after the off road bumper look and want to save some coin I've seen at least one company that sells all the pieces of steel already cut and you weld it up yourself or get a local shop to do it.

I think I'm going black steel just simply because the color matched stuff and rock chips = . But man, the prices of some of these bumpers out there is ridiculous.
