    2012 G56 4x4 - Delvac 50 Transfercase Fluid?

Hey there, I am thinking about getting rid of the ATFD in my 2012 G56 2500 4x4, but I am unsure about the fluid in the transfer case.

I believe it is ATF as well.

Should I leave that in there or switch it to Delvac as well?

Thank you all for any insight.

The transfer case takes a particular type of (expensive, of course) fluid.

    Not ATF.

    BW44-44 should be it.

I know they have seals between them, but is it alright to run two different fluids?

    Thanks for the fast reply.

That’s what this forum is here for - we all help each other!

Yes, sir, they are two separate components and require different lubricants.

I know this because I’ve already been down this road myself, assuming that ATF4 was what the t-case required, only to drain it back out and buy the $20/quart fluid

The Ravenol BW44 came in today.

The red ATF was drained and replaced with a new BW44–just shy of 2qts.

Blauparts is where I’ve purchased the Ravenol a few times.
