    I bought 2018 6.7 instead of 2019

I had a 2016 6.7 2500 for 3 years and took it to 280k miles with just basic maintenance and fully deleted since 100k miles.

I was ready for a new truck because I wanted reliability more than anything because I go far from home. My initial thought was get a 2019 so no brainer. I have a friend who works at ram. I went to see a big horn black edition 2500 and after driving and thinking I will have to spend 60k for it which is not an easy decision by the way. I honestly didn't like the way it drove I have no idea why. It felt sluggish and just didn't really enjoy. Maybe because of no delete but who knows when deletes will be available. Anyway I went home to think about it. He called me few weeks later said he had a 2018 left over 3500 (which is what I really need for what I do) fully loaded every single option for 60k!!!! 18k under msrp.

I went to see it and was a no brainier I was sold. Very happy with my decision which tells you never pull the trigger right away. Take your time. Here she is

Interesting to see that with chrome grill and trim, but color matched bumpers.

    Unique.

I did the exact same thing.

I wanted to dump my 2019 1500 lease for a Cummins but for a 2019 Black out Bighorn they wanted far too much.

I walked out after 2 hours of fruitless negotiation, and they chased me into the parking lot and offered a deal on a 2018 black out pearl white Laramie.

I’m not in love with the color but after debate I was able to get them down to 52k from 70... done deal!

    Your truck is beautiful!

Haha sounds like my situation. I must say after a week now I feel even better about my decision. Both of us got similar amount of MSRP. I am just happy they gave me 23k for my 2500 big horn that had 270k

I found a list on the Ram truck site that listed all the 2018 holdovers. I just went through the list til I found what I wanted and where it was. Made a road trip and brought it home. Got 14,500 off MSRP. Been wanting a 2500 CTD a long time and couldn't say no to that. I've only had it 3 weeks so far and a little over 1200 miles now but wife and I both love it. Made a short 250 mile short trip and averaged 18.5 MPG running 80 mph and in town driving. Fixing to make the trip again and pick up my new travel trailer.
