I ran a Valair in my 07 and it left a bad taste in my mouth so unless something has changed with them I’ll stick with SB.

I haven’t looked at Valair since I left so a lot may have changed, I’m just unaware.

Let me say this up front; the clutch never slipped, didn’t let go and never failed. Nothing like that.

My issue with it was that it was the most annoyingly loud clutch I’d ever heard in my life.

I get gear rollover but it was insanely loud. And at idle with the truck in neutral, clutch disengaged, the noise from the dual mass flywheel was horrible.

I switched to the SB and things were greatly muted. Gear rollover was minimally audible and issues while disengaged were minimized.

It’s due to the buttons SB uses on between the plates that Valair doesn’t.

I’m not looking at another dual mass flywheel because this is a different animal, I just haven’t cared to look back at Valair this far.
