    ECU trouble code

    Hopefully this is the right place to post this.

    I have an intermittent CEL that shows up about 50% of the time.

    Does anyone know what this could be?

    What would cause it to fail so fast?

    Only 60k miles on the truck.

    I was getting the code before the tune, so if it’s failing it was failing before then.

    Poor luck.

    Stock turbo electronics can fail with just a few thousand miles as others never give any trouble.

    It's just what happens when electronics are subjected to a harsh environment.

    Thanks for the help!
    So, should I be replacing the boost control module? Or the turbo? Or do I just bite the bullet and take it to a shop? If it’s just replacing a control module I’d like to tackle it myself, something more complicated maybe not....

    You can try replacing just the actuator, but that's a hit and miss proposition and requires a high end scan tool to calibrate it.

    Your best bet is taking it to a shop for a estimate and then decide.
