    MM3 Tuner - Broken Connector?

The connector in the communications module where the wire from the monitor plugs in fell out this morning.

I have been having issues with the cable staying plugged in, as it has been falling out quite often lately.

This morning when I went to plug it back in, the plug part in the module fell out.

Will this only disable my display?

Is it ok to drive until I get it fixed?

I have it set to the loaded tune and not at "every key on."

I appreciate any help you can provide.

    You should be fine.

    You won't have the monitor.

I would unplug it at the OBD port so that nothing shorts out on the plug end that came out until you get it fixed.

    MM3 Tuner - Broken Connector?

I loaded the family up this evening and had to pull over with the same issue.

The brand new micro data link cord I just got shortly after I bought my truck partially popped out of the module under the dash.

I think (hope) it was caused by my foot hitting it and not a faulty module connector!

I unplugged the OBD connector and re-seated it, reconnected the OBD, and so far, so good.

Best of luck with the repair.

Also, to follow up on MM3 tech support, YES, they are outstanding and helped me a ton!

Yea, they overnighted the module box.

I broke the micro USB port off under the dash and sent a return label for me to send the broken one back; they have excellent customer service.

I have contacted MM3 and they will cut me some slack on purchasing a new one.

It will be cheaper if the computer shop can fix it so I'm waiting until I get it back from them to see if it works.

If not, I'll buy one from them as I've had it about 3 years and it is out of warranty.

Bad news, the computer repair place finally called yesterday and he couldn't get the connector to stay when he reattached it.

It broke off again as soon as he plugged a cable in.

Good news, MM3 cut me some slack and sold me a new piece at cost.

    Great company to deal with.

Hello, I also had my micro USB connector break off, and I have been freaking out all day.

It's less than a year old and will be a year next month.

Do you know how long the warranty is?

I have to call Monday, but I can't stop thinking about it, and there is no warranty info online.
