    Dead pedal

2012 Dodge 3500 with intermittent dead pedal.

Starts and drives but then get a dead pedal response.

Changed the accelerator pedal sensor and it still can happen.

If you unplug the pedal it will "reset". No codes are thrown on the dash.

I took it to the dealer and they said they need a block of time to look at it.

Initial diagnosis showed "TCM U1400 implausible TPS signal received active".

They show things are communicating but can't find the problem.

Maybe a short in the wiring.

    Anybody?

    Is it tuned?

    Not tuned.

    EGR and DEF deleted.

This was done before the issue started.

What system turned off the EGR and DEF System?

Sounds like it was tuned with a RaceME Ultra then they pulled the tuner.

The box tuning in the Ultras had that issue you are describing.

No tuner that I know of.

It was a company service truck from North Dakota first.

Had to have a tuner on it at sometime to shut off the EGR and such.

Do I need to go to someone and have it deleted from the programming again?

You likely will be ahead if you look for a tuner vs having the dealer flash it. With no EGR there has been some type of tuning file so there are no check engine lights. The power may not be cranked up but still the ECM has been written over.

If the dealer is tuner friendly (most are not) then you may be okay but like mentioned I would look for tuning and put the dealer costs toward that.
