    Considering switching

    Hey guys,

I am currently running EFI Live with PPEI tunes. I have considered switching to an MM3 tuner and running DRD tunes.

Can anyone give me some pros and cons in regards to this?

I'm trying to do as much research as i can and get some experienced opinions since it's not a cheap decision.

Also, in regards to the 12V tunes, does that change the tone of the exhaust?

Some specifics on that tune would be greatly appreciated as well!

Not sure of con besides added cost of tunes/MM3.

12V tune removes pilot injection so the motor will sound more like a 12V or early 24V.

This does change exhaust note as well.

Lots of happy DRD customers here including me.

Customer service is something you should consider as well, DRD has awesome customer service. Sometimes you pay a little more for customer service.

Its not a cheap option but when you have 19 different variations of tunes with "switch" to choose from it really is a no brainer.

    30,60,90,120,150,200 (6 normal sound tunes)
    30,60,90,120,150,200 (6 whistle sound tunes)
    30,60,90,120,150,200 (6 12v sound tunes)
parking lot Lope tune (1 lope tune) Can't drive with this on - I accidentally hit it while switching tunes OTF and it just reverted to the 12v tune.

2017 RAM 2500 Big Horn sport appearance package, Auto Level Rear Suspension, MM3 "switch" Fully deleted - tuned by DRD, Fleece Cheetah, Airaid Jr. CAI, 3.5" Banks Monster intake horn, Pusher Boost Tubes, 5" TBE with a Flo~Pro Twister muffler, *** EGR disappear kit, Black Market Performance CAT fuel filter and water separator, Black Market Performance fuel heater, Black Market Performance head studs, AFE deep trans pan, Revmax trans cooler bypass, Revmax HD Valve Body, DPC Low stall converter with billet flywheel, AFE pro series rear diff cover, Amsoil throughout provided by mcsynthetics.myamsoil.com

Not a troll, but open discussion on tuning platforms has been pretty much zilch in the past few months.

It's not "our" fault. When YOU went and threatened people with being banned if they dared to speak evil of a certain tuner.

Anyway back to the subject. Let's see all these problems you speak of with EFI live on the 2019's.

Who did we threatened with a ban? This ought to be good...

Also 3 people have contacted us who had starting issues with the 2019 EFi Live trucks and wanted to let us know if we had any idea what the cause was.

Unfornatley we had no idea, but we had one reach out to us and they sent a them a new tune and it was fixed, but we don't know about the other two at this time as they have not contacted us back.
