Unless its a super restrictive muffler, I don't believe so. 4" is sufficient unless you a making big power

I wouldn’t even worry about the performance difference between the two unless your truck is heavily modified.

X2 - if you want deeper tone or goal is over 900-1000hp at the wheels then go 5”. Anything else do a 4” and get a resonator or 2 for your muffler(s)
