Here is my return to stock programming adventure this evening
I must have been a little tired and not paying attention but prior to flashing the ECM I forgot to plug in my Throttle Valve..
I had driven the truck prior to get it up to operation temp, shut the truck off and and was the in the ACC position without realizing it..
Then I selected the 'return to stock' and the flash proceeded to get written. Half way through I realized that I was not in RUN but ACC.
Everything seemed to program ok.
After flashing I started up the truck and a CEL popped right away. This was for the throttle Valve being disconnected.
Plugged it back in and could not clear the CEL. Maybe it was dirty connectors..
Then I went so far as to remove the throttle valve and inspect that. Nothing seemed to make a difference.
So I had a thought... Let me reflash my tune back on, drive for 10 mins then reflash back to stock.
This time I reflashed with the key in the RUN position
.
After flashing the tune back on, driving, then flashing the stock file everything worked perfect.. No CEL or anything.
Seems a little weird, but everything is as it should be for the time being.
