Dang 15 mpg towing 9K! Still doing 55-60 mph?
When I tow my 10K fifth wheel I only get 11 mpg, but I'm doing above 70 mph.

I normally leave early in the morning around 2 to 3 am and just enjoy the ride, I'm retired and time is all I have when driving. I-84 is the biggest challenge as the speed limit is 80 mph. I stay in the slow lane and patience is a vutue. If I see that I am holding up people, mostly the working group, I get out of there way or speed up.
Yes I tow at 55 to 60. Mostly due to safety, I see so many accidents with people towing and the truck they are using weights less that what they are towing. It's hard enough to stop when an emergency happens as the trailer wants to pass the truck. I just installed the egt probe in the exhaust manifold and will finish installing the MM3 this weekend but waiting on parts before I fire it up. Hoping to get better mileage mostly in the towing department.
Down hill in neutral with the key off don’t count.
It helps that I can carry 121 gallons of fuel.
How many times do you have to restart the pump for that LOL
What do you mean?
I just got 245 miles out of not quite a 1/4 tank. Around 500 on 1/2 a tank. Eyeball, that's around 26 to 28 which I have clocked twice before in the hills. This trip took me to the jersey flats. I too have compensated for the tires and gears.
Greg. . . Did I embarrass you into a new picture? LOL

Haha, nope. It's just been that long since I logged into the forum from my PC. That pic was sooooo old so decided I should put up a recent one.
Your fuel mileage is awesome. I have been driving a ton of highway miles lately (4 trips from Greensboro to Charlotte, about 200 miles round trip each) and 19.x is as good as it gets. The stop and go traffic for the 10 miles in and out of downtown Charlotte kills any ground I make on the 180 miles of open road. I'd still rather drive my truck over anything else.
