    Re-padding my center console.

    The issue was simple... the padding had gone flat in the spot where I like to rest my arm. I finally took time today to figure out how to fix it. It turns out getting to the padding is a piece of cake.

    There are 6 T-20 hex drive screws holding the inner skin on.


    and 3 more holding the latch attachment



    The rubber cover just pulls up from around the edge. Where the foam turned colors is where the troubles at. The foam itself is about 3/8" thick. It was paper thin at the front corner.




    I added a folded piece of felt batting to make up the space.




    Here it is all finished. I'm really kicking myself for not dealing wit this sooner.

    Great write up. It may be worth doing now, before I even need it. I bet it feels much better on the elbow!
