Post 2011 CCLB DRW HELP NEEDED

    Hello all,
I have a 2011 Ram 3500 CCLBDRW G56 that I have been having some trouble with in the past few weeks. Fist off the CEL light has been on and off like a Christmas tree on the 126,000 miles I have owned this truck. (bought it new with 50 miles on it) About a year ago the light came on and stayed on. I did the key on/off/on/off/on trick and it showed an O2 code along with a P-0606 after a little research I just kind of ignored it and the truck had been running fine...until the last week or so. Pulling our 31' camper home I noticed it seemed to be lacking power, I shrugged it off *** maybe a strong headwind and I was almost home. Then this past weekend I pulled a little 16' trailer with a few tractor tires on it up north and while on the expressway it jerked around a bit and a cloud of black smoke rolled out the exhaust. Did this for just a minute or so then seemed to be okay again. Yesterday I had some time to kill while I was waiting for my sons football practice to end and di the key trick again. This time I got a long list of codes.... This truck is bone stock, I've done the ERG cleaning once before and I'm sure it's due again. I really want to go with a DRD tune, but should I start with a clean slate first? Thanks in advance for any and all help...

I think I would start with a load test on my batteries. Low voltage can cause some strange erroneous codes. DRD tunes and emission deletion should take care of most the rest.

I'm at work at the moment, but I ran out there quick and looked at the batteries.

One of the negative posts has a fair amount of "fur" on it.

I will clean it up tonight and do a load test on both batteries.

I had replaced them both this past January.

So I cleaned the battery terminals and load tested the batteries. Both are fine. Pretty sure I’m just going to go forward with deleting and tuning the truck and hoping for the best.

Sounds like a good plan. I think you will be very happy with the performance. You will need to upgrade your membership to Lifetime Platinum, this will allow you to access the DRD store and apply your 10% discount.

Just placed an order with DRD for a MM3 LITE and all the stuff to make parts fall off.

Jumping in head first, hope I can figure all this stuff out.

    Piece of cake.

Your DP will come out with out cutting if you drop the cross member slightly.

I left one bolt in the driver's side loosely and removed the others.

Supported the cross member and trans with a floor Jack and let it drop about 3 inches.

Then the DP came right out the front. No problem.

Check out the Shibby kit to keep the connectors clean or just tape them up.

    Cheers,

I ordered the Shibby kit and an egt probe. Also ordered egr delete kit and a TV delete tube. 5” turbo back with muffler. I just need to select a tip yet. Thank for the tips and encouraging words.
