Looking at options for new headunit, crutchfield and says i’ll lose rear entertainment options? Is it just dvd capability? Anyone run into any issues? Or have recommendations? Thanks in advance

I changed out the head unit in my 2012 with a nice Kenwood. I also purchased a “Maestro” device that interfaces with the truck and it retained all of the steering wheel controls and factory functions. Hope this helps!

I did the same as @BSchambs and could not be happier with the results. Crutchfield is usually spot on but check out the Maestro website to see if they have an adapter harness for the rear DVD, they had a ton of different ones on their website.
