    Uconnect glitching after update

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone else has received a message in the last week to update their uconnect? I got in my truck on Friday of last week and there was a message on the touchscreen saying I need to schedule an update. I set the time for the update to occur while I was parked for a few hours. After I got back in my truck the display read "Software update in progress". I waited until it was 100% complete and then took off. After about a minute it shut off then went to a screen that said "Wait 5-15 minutes" then 10 seconds later it went back to the "Software update in progress" screen. It makes it to 100% and about a minute later repeats the whole process again. It's been in this loop since Friday. Anybody else experience this? I called Uconnect and they just said take it to the dealer.

No Uconnect update message yet. Will report back with results when I get one. . If I remember correctly you can also download the updates to a thumb drive from Mopar website via Uconnect. You may want to look into that at this point.

I just updated my maps (navigation) with a thumb drive from FCA - took about 1 hour.
But have not received a (General) update message on the touchscreen as of yet.

You can download the files by entering your vin number. Their customer service is as useless as the dealerships...that’s all they tell you is you need to visit a dealer

Checked just now, no Uconnect updates for my radio/vehicle.

Here are a couple of screenshots to help you navigate to see if one is needed.

I tried the flash drive download but because it cycles back to the "Software update in progress" screen so quickly, the flash drive method doesn't have enough time to initiate. I took it to the dealer today and they messed with for awhile trying a few of their own tricks but nothing worked. They said I will need to bring it in on Thursday and leave it so their specialist can work on it. Sounds expensive.

Well, I took it to the dealer and they tried for a few hours and finally said "it's toast". They said they have a trade in program where I give them my old head unit and they give me a refurbished one for a discounted price of $1200. I guess the new ones are over $2000. This kind of chaps my hide considering it worked fine before the automatic update that screwed it up. To add insult to injury, they said these units are on back order and they will call me when one comes available. I've been looking at aftermarket options but of course none of them that I've seen so far have the same functionality as the OEM unit.

I hate that- for $1200 I’d look at the “Tesla” Screen options....keep us posted!

you may try looking at navrepair.com (I think) they are out of FL and offer refurbished or repair your unit for cheaper than dealer.
