How do these exhaust plugs come off?

Hi guys. I’m trying to remove the stock cat and DPF but some of these plugs are giving me trouble. I’m afraid if I struggle any longer I’ll break them. What’s the trick to getting these 2 plugs off? Thanks.

If memory serves me correctly, the one on the left you pull the red tab and then squeeze and pull like normal. On the right one, you'll have to loosen the retainer clip. Mine was plastic on my 2018 but your's looks metal.

I believe that little white plastic ring needs to be removed. Thats how I got mine off. I'm sure there is a correct way to remove it, but I just mutilated mine until it broke off.
