Another rattling sound.....

Noticed a trashy, rattling sound under my 2014 2500 yesterday when I had the window down. Sounds like something loose.

You hear it usually when running over rough ground or hitting a hole. And only when I’m off the throttle it seems. Not real sure what it could be.

It sounds like it’s coming from mid-truck but that could be sound bouncing off the ground.

I’m gonna guess it’s a u-joint or suspension part but who knows. I hate these phantom rattles.

The truck has between 70-80k miles so it’s not unexpected for crap to start failing.

Any ideas from past experiences of this sort?

Of course. Upper shock mount on rear. Sounded like an old log wagon when I was on a rough road. Crisis averted.

Upper shock mount is my guess. Had to tighten mine to. These are friction nuts and will feel alot tighter then you think it should. Just hit it with an impact.
