    Upgrade CP3 before tuning?

Okay a quick run down of my set up
    2006 4x4 6 speed dually
    Blacks diesel performance 6.7
    Arp studs
    #103 springs
    Billet push rods
12v piston rods with arp rod bolts
    75% injectors
    2nd gen manifold
    S467.7 turbo
Straight piped 5" all the way back
    Airdog 150 with bottom sump
    South bend stage 2 clutch
Last 2 steps before I get bored and start doing more LOL
    CP3 upgrade
    Custom tuning
I'm running the smarty s06 now and it's okay but I want to tune to perfection.
Should I upgrade the CP3 first or will it make a difference on my tune?

What is your HP goal? 75% injectors aren’t small. Thinking on it, if I had that build I would just go ahead and do the CP3 first. Because if you do custom tuning and then do the CP3 and want new tuning, depending on who you go with they’ll charge for a retune.

I'm looking for about 700 I think I should be able to get there? I'm not as interested in the hp more interested in the torque. I tow a 45' 5er and a 40' gn.

I agree with doing CP3 first. If you have a good tuner I would think you’ll be real close on the 700 number with what mods you have mentioned. Being a manual you can keep rpms up a bit more for the larger charger you are running

Yeah it is bigger I was torn but it keeps the boost down when just trucking down the highway hit the skinny pedal and wait a second and it lights up to just under 50psi of boots then hold on LOL

I'm averaging 16 mpg right now unloaded at 70 mph hoping to see a little better with a better tune

Like stated above, i also agree to do the CP3 first. Then the tuning next as it will save you some money.

Yea it is fun when it lights! When you’re towing is when you’ll need to keep it knocked back a gear to keep egts in check - Clayton with Dudes diesel is a great vendor who can hook you up with a CP3 if you haven’t purchased one yet

If it were my money I'd do the Fleece 10MM. It's good for 750HP so it should get you to where you need to be.
