    Re: Good oil choice

Thank you for the mention! Although expensive i have seen nothing but great results. I just filled my truck up with hot shot's oil that has the fr3 additive as well as some stiction eliminator. I have been using the diesel extreme clean as well as the every day fuel treatment and noticed some light results but still results none the less.

Super happy with it so far! When you mention set up for an oil sample what exactly do ya mean? Most people i would assume would use some sort of sample tubing and a pump and go from the oil dipstick correct? Is there another more proper set up?

I have a Fomoto drain valve.
Clean the fitting ... pull a 3 to 4 ounce sample ... put it back into the truck ... draw another 3 ounce and send it in.
Super simple, easy and no problems.

Thank you for the recommendations. Liking what I’m reading on Hotshots. Definitely going that route. What is a good filter choice? I’ll call Monday but value y’all input too. I like the fumoto valve too. Ordering some for every vehicle we have now in the fleet.

I prefer the Amsoil EAO-80 or Fleetguard Stratopore oil filters. Also debating strong on the Fleetguard Stratopore Venturi LF9028 that has a built in bypass filter, although not approved by Dodge, many people have had excellent results with it on 5.9/6.7 Cummins.

X2 on the 7349. It's the lowest micron and a really good efficiency rating. "Donaldson Blue"

Is the flow rate effected by the smaller micron?
