    Re: So it begins!

So since we're responding to fires from our residences now I decided to borrow a few electric impacts and get my bumper on today.

One man's job takes about two hours and you'll drop at least one of the wings on your head.

My bell is rung! Still. LOL.

I'm definitely digging the look of it though.

    It's the DV8 winch bumper.

For the price I couldn't pass it up, now to get a winch.

    Thanks man!

It's definitely been an adventure with lots of curse words and sniffling while laying underneath it, but it's paid off.

Looks great and rides great besides those tires ride like concrete bricks. LOL.

I had the opportunity to drive a truck the other day with some of those fuel mud grippers and it was like a cloud, just a slight howl.

I told myself no mud tires though, so I might just be going with a 35x13.5 all terrain.

I don't think I want to move up to 37s yet.

Not until I can throw some more power into it.

I think my boys are going to be excited when I pick them up tomorrow.

Last time they saw it there was no lift or bumper.

So I'm stoked for them to see it!

Been following this- truck looks SAWEET!

Stance does look GREAT with the 35s IMO.

I about pulled the trigger on that same bumper so I agree with the choice LOL.

Did you pick a winch yet?

Well, I have a Tonno Pro hard trifold topper now.

Picked it up yesterday for $180 and I'm digging the look.

Someone decided to help themselves to my toolbox the other day at Lowe's.

So it made me angry enough to spend more money on my truck. Haha.

Got my lights wired up for the bumper too, so I have fog lights again wired and relayed into the factory harness.

Now I'm sitting here at the house listening to wildfires pop up like candy all over the county.

    Fingers crossed for a good'n!!!

My tractor plow is ready to do some work!

    Be safe on those fires!

I'm not 100% set on anything yet, saw a nice Smittybilt 12.5k with synthetic rope that I haven't been able to stop thinking about. Haha.

It's not going to be used very much, but I have to fill that winch hole with something. LOL.

I think after I buy a new mattress for my ever crumbling back I'll look harder into getting a winch thrown in there.
