I have noticed here in the last few weeks that there is a loud roar coming from the front of the engine when excellerating empty or towing? Any suggestions.

I have noticed here in the last few weeks that there is a loud roar coming from the front of the engine when excellerating empty or towing? Any suggestions.

Make, model, year? Is it the fan clutch engaging to cool it down being so hot? Does it sound like a fan noise or a metallic type noise?
