    Dripping Def Fluid after Delete

My truck is dripping def fluid from the plug I disconnected.

Obviously I haven’t pumped it out... is this normal ? I parked it over in the gravel now.

Look at how good for the environment that looks.

Mine never leaked and I never drained my DEF tank.

Sooo I’d say your injector is stuck open.

I’d probably suggest draining the tank or plugging that up some how.

    Dripping Def Fluid after Delete

I’m keeping the truck parked in the gravel in front of my carport until it all drips out.... the tank was almost full... I wonder how long it will take to all drip out ??

Does my exhaust look crooked. Or is it sticking out to far? I can’t seem to adjust it?

    Exhaust looks about right.

You don’t want it to blacken your bumper.

Depends on how fast the drip is it may take you a month! LOL.

Remove the filler neck on the def tank and shop vac what’s left. I did this to mine and rinsed with distilled water after and shop vacced again.

I had to duct tape some hose on the end to reach in far enough

The shibby plug kit is well worth the money as it includes a plug for the DEF injector and all the electrical connections on the exhaust, egr & throttle valve.

I ordered it on Ebay last week.. should be here tomorrow or Wednesday.

I just siphoned out all the old def.. good thing too!!! it would have taken months for that to drip out... probably over 4 gallons was in there...

What is your opinion on cleaning out the tank??? I plan on keeping this truck for as long as I can. I have all the stuff to delete the egr, just need a day or so to do it.

If you think you’ll ever need it again try and rinse is out as best you can.

That DEF will crystallize and compromise the system when you want to reuse it.

I syphoned the DEF then added 5 gallons of distilled water. I left the water in for a couple of weeks then syphoned it out. Some folks drop the pump and flush it with water I didn’t bother.
