OK here’s the latest I purchased a brand new alternator I have a signal coming from the PCM my ground is grounding and the wire to the battery is good. However I am still not able to get the alternator to Put out any voltage. I am completely stumped hoping I don’t have to get a new PCM
Did you get your alternator from Ram or a parts store? I wonder if the voltage regulator is bad in that alternator? I’ve seen new ones purchased at auto part stores not work at all.

The voltage reg in the 2016 is in the PCM not the alt. I have had them tested and they test good
Gotcha! Learn something new everyday. LOL

Just a thought, I've dwelt with my fare share of electrical issue.
Isn't the output of the alternator dependent upon what's requested.
In other words the alternator will only supply what's needed by the batteries.
My guess is it's something simple like a loose connector.
I read something very similar on a different site. I'll try to locate the thread.
Please keep us posted.

Turns out the PCM has burnt out the voltage regulator.
Had to send it out to be repaired.
