    Not Deleting shorten Engine life?

Is a owner more likely to gain more longevity from his new 6.7L by deleting early say within the first 50K miles.

    (Compared to)

A owner whom never had issues with the emissions & waits till after he passes say 100K miles.

    (Or)

A owner whom never had issues & never deletes.

All 3 have & maintain stellar maintenance habits.

    Curious about your opinions!
Yes I do have plans on keeping my 2017 well into my retirement.

It's a gamble really. I've seen stock trucks go 200k+ without any issues from the powertrain or emissions system, a guy on another forum claims 400k+ miles and no issues on stock truck. My theory on deleting is to delete as early as possible as I did it at 900 miles. The longer you wait the more buildup and "wear" from Regen particles you'll have. Most of the warranty issues on these trucks are emissions system related. From your signature it looks like you're probably as strict as me on maintenance, so in my opinion I'd delete it now(use a good tuner) and keep maintenance with quality filters/fluids a top priority.

X2 what was said. It’s a hit and miss.... Delete early then you won’t have the possible issues related with the Regen crap!

If a person that idles long periods, driving small short trips and stop and go and the truck is never really getting warmed up, This will prompt more Regens. More Def and worse MPG. You are making the emissionsystem cycle more. So it really doesn’t matter if you maintain the vehicle on time as doing your maintenance will not change driving habits.

I have 11k miles on the truck, have had egr/less DRD tuning on truck for the last 6k miles I think. I can remove and reflash to stock in a matter of minutes if needed. The other option is what I will be doing soon. DRD Delete tuning, you keep the engine looking stock with out removing anything. All you do is remove the emission exhaust component with a delete pipe that bolts right up.
Any issues and you can change back to stock under 3 hours.

Agree with what has been said. Taking burnt fuel/hot exhaust and pumping it back in the intake is not a design for longevity and improved performance but simply what needs to be done to please the EPA.

Cold clean air makes for a happy motor.

all that being said the delete won’t do any benefit if the fluids and filters are not maintained

Diesel Works: Your plan for the DRD delete tuning sounds like the perfect solution for my 2017.

I Now will look into becoming a LPM & look into the total cost.

What exactly is the delete tuning package called within DRDs website?

Just having to Only remove & replace the exhaust is a very awesome option.

I know DRD's website has changed. the best thing is to give them a call or email.

EGRLESS or emission complaint tuning is what I have.

    Shuts off EGR.

As far as the packages and options there are many.

Best to just talk to them and tell them what you are trying to do and what questions you have.
