    Fuel mileage delema

    I have a 2017 3500 4x4 with the Aisin and 4.10 gears.

I have deleted and have a DRD tune and I can't seem to get any better then 14.2 mpg.

I hear guys getting upwards of 18-26 MPGs and I sure would like to know what gear ratio people have to see those numbers?

Also, what would 3.42 gears be like in my truck?

Any info would greatly be appreciated!

About to trade this sucker in!!!

Tons of factors come into play withe mpg.
-Dually will get less. More mass to spin.
-Where do you live? Hills are a killer.
    -Idle time kills mpg
    -Stop and go traffic
    -Fast accell

    2021 2500 68RFE..... I'll just keep the goodies a secret!!!

Dually with a cap seems about right to me.

I get about 15 mpg with truck in dog. keeping throttle under 30% is a must for MPG and if on highway keeping in the right lane at 60-65.

    not like the 5.9 days

    Honest being hand calculated?

Not saying you you aren’t but I don’t think I’ve seen anyone with that good of MPG running a stock truck. Only a handful with modifications even.

    good for you!

Most people don't realize the readout is never correct. Maybe he has an exceptional running truck stacked with extreme flat lands...

    Re: Fuel mileage delema

I took a 4500 mile trip from Atlanta,Ga. to Breckenridge, Co. and the average was 14.2 and I was running 70-95 mph. I guess I'm getting better then most. I had an 06 5.9 with 4.10 4x4 with the same type of camper shell and that truck would pull 21 mpg all day long. I thought this one should get at least 18+ mpg. This 17 pulls like a train and rolls so nice! Maybe I should be happy with the mpgs! Thanks guys!
