What is highest allowable EGT pre turbo?

Just did a EGR/DPF delete. Installed a EGT sensor in exhaust manifold right befor turbo flange.

What are normal EGTs? Towing heavy loads? What is the limit where I got to back out of it.

Stock guages never showed EGTs - dodge said the ECM read them and used them but didnt display on dash. With a DRD +30 tune what should we expect to be seeing - truck will be towing 99% of the time.

    Thanks in advance.

1250*F pre-turbo sustained is what I have always heard. You could go over that for short periods, but how far and how long is up to your individual nerves. I see 1100*F on mine pulling long 6-7% grades with the converter locked up at highway/interstate speeds pulling 9-10k. Flat highway the same weight could be up to 950*F. Unloaded around town is all over the map.

I stand correct my apologies. You crack the head if your consistent in the 1500-1600 area.

I see 1000 to 1350 depending on the load with my 150HP tune.
