    Help needed! Fuel gauge crazy!

So I’ve got a new to me 2014 Ram 2500 megacab. Got 70k on the clock. The fuel gauge will show full then the next minute it’s shows half tank. Everything I can find points to the fuel sender. Kinda seems like the float is messed up. Just need someone to concur my thoughts LOL. Has anyone else had this problem with their 4th gens? Thanks

Sounds like a float issue to me. I’d take a look at the wiring as best I could on the tank going to the sending unit to make sure there’s nothing pinched or looking out of order. It could be an electrical thing but more likely something with the float in the tank itself

Also sounds like a float issue to me as well.

Just wanted to update everyone. Put in a new fuel sender which fix my fuel gauge issue. When I pulled the fuel sender out it didn’t have any metal rods to keep it rigid in the tank so it was just floating around like a jelly fish. No wonder the fuel was acting up!
