    Roadside Repair

    This is what happens when you try to run original rotors for 5 years in upstate New York.

    Left front rotted out and split in half while going downhill with the fifth wheel... not fun trying to get er stopped.

    Good thing my son was following to take me to town for parts!

    That could have ended poorly, glad everyone is safe and sound! Another good reason to upgrade the brake system.

    I know it's too late now but

    I bought a set of vented ceramic coated rotors. They were about the same price as OE rotors. A year later, not a spot of rust. Food for thought. I need to replace my rears. The contact surface is pitted after 3 years.

    Good thing you have VGT exhaust brake and a quick manual shift trans. Good job stopping.
