Do I Need To Delete My CCV?

Hi, I came across a posting talking about CCV deletion.

I am wondering if this is something that is needed with a deleted truck.

I have an MM3 tuner but left the EGR hard parts intact.

Can I leave my CCV in stock form, or do I need to gut and run to the atmosphere?

    Thanks for the help.

    You can leave it.

I’m changing my CCV filter at 25k mile intervals.

Just personal preference for peace of mind. Book calls for 65k intervals so do as you wish.

Mine is still intact as well. I changed the filter at 65k and will not wait that long to do it again. It was soaked with oil so was obviously doing it's job but could see where some oil vapor was just starting to get passed. Planning to change it again when the truck hits 100k

Interested to know how you're looks when you change it at 25k.

I’m definitely posting up when I do it at 25k, I’m only at 4,500 but we’ll get there.

Changed mine at 47K when I removed my EGR. The filter was soaked and noticed almost a teaspoon of oil down by the turbo inlet. I am also thinking 25K would be a safer interval to replace the CCV filter.

Well with all the comments. Sounds like I’ll be changing mine in the near future as I’m already at 25k. I’ll try and post a picture of what it looks like when I do change it.

30-40K miles for sure seems like a ideal time for the Ana1 owner.

To resurrect an old thread and ask a total diesel noob question.... “hypothetically“ what if you went past the 65k interval and did it closer to 90k and it was absolutely SOAKED with oil.... what kind of damage are we talking about potentially doing.... hypothetically of course?!?! Asking for a friend maybe
