Have you people read the Green New Deal?

We actually have elected officials pushing for this economically suicidal fantasy!

Who is voting for these fools? ZERO carbon emissions by 2030 enforced by law! Ridiculous taxes.

Renovate every building in the country to be carbon neutral.

Not to mention the fact that it would literally be illegal to operate our vehicles in 10 years.

They would become worthless lawn ornaments...

We must vote these people out

I think there is some value in trying to protect the environment. But it’s being taken a bit too seriously, in my opinion.

And I know that the Gasser enthusiasts are probably being given a bit of a hard time as well, but diesel enthusiasts have a harder time of it because we haven’t found a way to make diesel emissions invisible.

If it ever gets to the point where it becomes illegal to drive a diesel down the road.

I think I’ll probably have to shed a few tears.

To me it’s the fact that some giant corporations can do whatever they want when it comes to abiding by EPA rules because we all know $$ can buy anything...

You got that right. Instead of a "Dollar Tree"store, we'll have to stop at the nearest "Carbon Tree" store to purchase carbon credits just to drive to work.

This is what happens when people are too incompetent and vote with their feelings instead of with their intelligence.

None of this **** is plausible and good luck trying to enforce it.

At the rate things are going, were gonna be Venezuela 2.0 in 10 years or less.

Carbon emissions are the least of my worries.

"It is all about the Benjamins" as one of them said about something else.

The new green deal (not capitalized on purpose) is all about taxation and wealth redistribution and the wealth will not be distributed to the US it will be distributed to the rest of the world.

Like to China and other countries which are taking our jobs by not allowing their workers any freedom and forcing them into working like slaves.

    Re: THE EPA STRIKES AGAIN!

Its not really even only about money. Its more about power. They want socialism. But first they need to convince Americans that capitalism is bad. In order to do that they must crash this roaring economy we are currently enjoying while simultaneously creating more dependents.

The socialists need Americans to become dependent on the Federal Government instead of being personally responsible. The biggest push right now on that front is single payer healthcare. That single payer being the Federal Government and using the force of law to MAKE all Americans dependent on the government for their healthcare like it or not.

Free college and student loan forgiveness is another example of this same thing. Doubling the minimum wage will create inflation, devalue the American dollar and drive up the cost of all goods. Then you have the grand finally of the green new deal which will throw a tanker load full of gas onto the economic destruction fire they are stoking.

They hope that people will intemperate this as the failure of capitalism and just start voting to have the government take care of everything for them. Obviously this doesn't work because the Federal Government gets their money by taking it from tax payers so I don't know who they expect to pay for anything when everyone is just standing around taking handouts from the Feds.

The truly rich will just take their money and assets and leave along with big business and the country will fail. Its played out before in history and there is no reason why it cant happen here if people are too selfish and stupid to pay attention to the long term effects of their short term actions.

I'm not convinced that this cannot be avoided without a civil war. Violence is escalating already and everyone is moving politically either farther left or farther right. Once the generally quiet and peaceful right wingers have had enough of antifa and socialist policies being forced on them its gonna get real hot real fast.

I don't think milkshakes and bike chains will be making headlines any more.
