If both camera locations show black then it sounds like the trigger that tells the cameras to turn on when in reverse is messed up. This could be a BCM issue or an actual sensor.

Unless you did some wiring recently this is likely to need dealership attention.

That’s what I’m afraid of already got my appointment for next week Tuesday. $150 just for them to take a look and diagnose.

I don't keep up on all the recalls or TSB's (technical service bulletin) that are out there for all years, you can check and see if there is a TSB on this type of issue.

Assuming you are out of bumper to bumper warranty but if there is a TSB on this issue then it should be a free fix by Ram.
