Fleece Cheetah is the only option worth discussing in terms of a VGT. Most people do not go this route and opt for a non-VGT 2nd gen setup...but that is $$. Cheetah is a bolt on.

Ok, I’ve heard good things about the BD Screamer as well as the Fleece but wanted to ask y’all, seems like your the only responsive one here. Thank you for that. I think I want to keep the factory exhaust brake and I’m not a fan of slow spooling that a 2nd gen swap would give me.

If you’ve got the $ I’d do a 2nd gen swap. As stated above, Fleece Cheetah is your best bet on a bolt on.

I like the more instant throttle response with the VGT and I’m trying to get a MM3 as well so trying to keep cost as low as possible.

Just make sure you buy the turbo before tuning so you won’t have to have a retune done.

Oh for sure, waiting to get my truck into the dealership to get the actuator calibrated. If it calibrated successfully then I’ll continue using my stock turbo, and go ahead and get the MM3. I’m only asking all this Incase I find out my turbo is trash. Surely they can tell me if I need a new actuator or turbo without charging me a bunch of money right? I’m new to the 6.7 and VGT setup so I’m slowly learning.

Unless you plan on putting a 100+mm turbo on your truck, spooling isn't an issue. The S369SXE is a superb turbo option, S400 is a touch larger, but both spool just fine without the VGT. You would just need to run an external exhaust brake.
If the truck is under warranty, then they wont be selling you anything. Outside of that, service drives don't actually sell you anything, they simply make recommendations that you don't have to agree with.
Plus the Cheetah just sounds awesome
On a 4th gen, it still sounds just as good
Damn that sounds bad to the bone! Really making me want one now, I hear they come with brand new actuators, possibly the upgraded actuator? Is that the one like from genos garage?
