I agree when up, blind spots are easier to see but I keep mine down because they stick so far out and on my narrow roads around here I almost swapped mirrors a few times with others that like that up look. LOL

No it actually didnt destroy the mirror. It was just one of the big aluminium diamond ones. Scuffed the hell out of the chrome and the turn signal lamp but that was about it.
