How hard was removing that black wrap between the windows?

Mine always looks chalky and now needs to return to black; I would love it to be white.

It's very tedious but not what I would call hard.

This is one of those projects that gets tougher as your truck ages.

The warmer you can make the vinyl, the easier it will peel into more significant pieces.

You also need the extra strength goo gone or eraser wheel to remove the residue.

It's better to have the vinyl warmer and leave more glue behind than risk pulling up a weak spot in the paint beneath it.

OK, I got the goo gone and those plastic razor blades.

I have a heat gun and will wait for the weather with no rain and warmer.

I don't mind the look of black, but it turns white and chalky, and I don't like taking care of it all the time with that dressing.

    Thanks for the info.
