Fixed one of the major failures with the 68RFE - Over heating while towing & the tiny little valve - fails closed!

    No more over heating worries!

As of today - 9-4-19: I have Not witnessed her ATF temps over 154°F

    At this moment: Yes!

Daughter just graduated college & then was excepted into OU's - PT school.

Awesome news for us - but 3 more years for her & a lot more spending $$$ for us!

So all major mods are put on hold for now - plan is to get the JUDGE paid off - then begin the search for our new 5th Wheel RV & hopefully a nice decent size Tri-Toon for many days on the water with the future grand kids! Fishing/Jug Lines/Pulling the kids around on tubes are in our future!

Believe me: I would be ecstatic With a 2.5-3" lift & a set of 10" wide - 20" custom wheels with a set of low profile fatty all-terrain tires - along with a full delete. (But) Kids come first! Priorities!

With all that said: When the warranty is all gone - I will hopefully be able to find a shop that is still able to do a full delete & install a mild tow tune to help with our towing adventures!

If the EPA hasn't totally shut that down by then.

Now: Only really looking for a 20-30 gallon auxiliary (gravity feed) fuel tank for the bed. Want a tank that mounts up close to the front of the bed - to give plenty of room for the 5th Wheel slider hitch.

By next spring hopefully I can incorporate a PML Rear End cover & 68RFE pan - both with drain plugs for easy service! What the He11 was Ram thinking?

Even went so far as found a spin-on replacement filter for the cheesy spin-on Mopar transmission filter!
The new replacement filter incorporates synthetic media so much better filtering will occur.
Also found a billet thread adapter for the spin-on filter to replace the very cheap plastic OEM adapter.

Re: The Creation of The JUDGE!

    Alright rearend is done!
Now service will be fast & virtually mess free.

As of now - no leaks thanks to the Lube Locker gasket that was used.

At only 6920 miles - notice how nasty the OEM cover had gotten.
Took a couple cans of CRC break kleener to clean up the gear set.

Triax Synergy Max 75W-90 was used to refill - 4Qts!
Once the Summer RV (Towing) begins I might switch to Red Line 75W-110.

Next spring - the 68RFE will get a PML pan as well w/Drain Plug as well as a Royal Purple (synthetic media Spin-On filter)!

Then - the front differential will be the final target.
It will receive a PML as well.

It's crazy! These very simple covers & pans are ridiculously expensive.

Note: If I was only keeping The JUDGE for a few years - I wouldn't even be bothering with any of this!
    This is my LAST truck!

A big goes out to Genos - For fast service & the lowest shipping rates that I found.

Next Rearend service - I'm thinking a combo of Red Line (2qts 75W-90 & 2qts 75W-140). Just to help a bit with cooling & wear protection when towing heavy.

That looks good! That rear end was dirty for sure.
